Kurtis works Japanese and anime, and the two sit closer together than they sound: koi and hannya masks on one arm, a full pirate-crew sleeve on the next, both built to wrap the body the way Japanese work is supposed to.
Colour is where he is strongest — orange and blue dragons, a hornet over a demon mask — but the blackwork in his portfolio is just as deliberate.
